Workplace strategy

Developing a workplace concept customized for agile teams!

Think before you begin

Before briefing an architect or selecting a new building, it’s crucial to gain a clear understanding of your organization’s functional needs. Start with a strong vision and gather concrete data through our evidence-based approach. Engage your employees using both quantitative and qualitative methods. This data will inspire your stakeholders and highlight the added value of a new workplace concept.

Our services:

Defining the vision

The strategy and culture of the organization directly influence the work environment. Through a strategic vision workshop, we engage the top management and define the direction of your workplace project. The vision creates a clear framework to which concrete actions can be aligned. A clear understanding of the “why” is essential for the success of your project.

How many office chairs, cabinets, and desks do we have? What is the condition of this equipment? Can we recover anything? How many laptops are there in our company? Which devices need replacing? How many employees use a second screen? We are happy to assist you with a thoroughly documented inventory of your furniture and IT equipment.

In your organization, there are different types of profiles, such as researchers, nomads, and sedentary workers, each with their own specific workplace needs. Through our unique methodology, we gather input from your teams to define these profiles. This helps us create an optimal workplace mix tailored to your organization.

We have our own professional tool, ‘braincount’, to track workplace occupancy over several weeks. This involves observing all workstations multiple times a day, giving you an objective view of how the workspaces are used. We also combine this data with badge information if available. The current occupancy is crucial for estimating the future capacity requirements.

A thorough briefing for the architect requires a clear understanding of the required square meters, the number of spaces, and the types of spaces that align with the needs of your teams. The workplace mix is an overview of the different workspaces you need in your office environment.

Mapping the current situation

At the start of a new project, it’s important to understand the current situation (as-is). brainmove observes your work environment and studies the floor plans and organizational chart. We analyze the use of square meters in your buildings and examine the ratio between the different types of spaces. This information serves as the starting point to support strategic decisions.

How does the work environment support the needs of your teams? What are the primary processes within a team? How can teams collaborate efficiently? Through workshops, focus groups, and surveys, we gather information about the work processes.

Choosing a location for a new office is not easy. Can your employees easily commute? Is there a station nearby? Can we offer commuter passes? How many bike parking spaces are needed? A location and mobility analysis visualizes the options and connects them to the profiles within your organization.

Do you want to improve or perfect the hospitality in your company? Do you wish to optimize the reception operations in your city or municipality? Dealing with customers and visitors on-site today requires a new, attractive, and streamlined approach. brainmove helps you embed hospitable service into the core of your organization.
